Welcome to the official website of the Crawfish Festival (formerly known as Long Beach Crawfish Festival). For over 30 years the Crawfish Festival has become a tradition to over thousands of festival goers annually. Come experience a New Orleans tradition!
The Crawfish Festival will be held May 15-17, 2026 at the spacious green park - Fountain Valley Sports Park in Fountain Valley, California (right off the 405 Frwy. @Brookhurst).
New Orleans’ most exquisite flavors are heading out West to fill up the world’s largest crawfish pots. These crimson-colored, freshwater crustaceans are undoubtedly the stars of this festival. They're more tender than lobsters and have a unique flavor. Master Chefs will prepare true, Louisiana-style crawfish along with Cajun potatoes, corn on the cob, and tangy remoulade dipping sauce.
Dance to rousing music and join the Second Line Dancing Parade a historical New Orleans tradition where people dance with a celebratory spirit. Live entertainment mixes the best Cajun, Zydeco, and New Orleans-style music and includes Zydeco dance lessons regularly throughout the day.
We combine tons of fresh live crawfish prepared Louisiana style by an authentic master chef in the world's largest crawfish pots, international food court featuring a wide selection of New Orleans’s most iconic dishes (frog legs, catfish, gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, bread pudding...), beignets, and unleash your creativity at the Jackson Square DIY NOLA Mad Hatter workshop, inflatables, petting zoo, carnival games, live sports tent, second stage with magic and illusion shows (on Sat/Sun), Karaoke Lounge with a Live Band (on Friday and Saturday night), Tequila/Whiskey tasting experience by El Baston del Rey, themed bayou bars featuring our infamous signature drink — "Screaming Crawfish" to create the largest Crawfish Festival outside of Louisiana, right here in Southern California.

The Crawfish Festival is the official reunion event for me and my Louisiana friends and has been for three years now. Every one of us grew up in the bayous of Louisiana and went to school there as well. All of us went to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana and learned the finer art of food, music, fun, and all things Cajun. We are Cajuns through and through and the Crawfish Festival was a natural draw for us to finally have some Cajun style fun. We are grateful for you promoting such an event in LA as it really did serve to bring us together once again after a long time of not seeing one another due to our own hectic schedules and other “life” and “way too busy” type reasons. So far, those of us who attend live in Los Angeles now (spread throughout the city). My friend Julie and I have created our own two-step specifically for the event and we add to the dance every year that we are there on the dance floor...I think we’re up to about 16 moves now, what a HOOT! And, of course, every year there is the traditional photo booth photo. Thank you for bringing a bit of home to LA for us Cajuns!! — D. Adams
The support we receive from our sponsors every year is tremendous. It allows The Crawfish Festival to continue in its quest to not only provide our attendees to the Festival with a fun and exciting time, but to continue giving back to our local community.
